“Our first time visiting any Habanero’s location, and wow! I did not expect the quality. The food was a great blend of authenticity and millennial magic, coupled with amazing service from the entire staff. The drinks were great and I couldn’t get enough of the beans! The salsa was fantastic and didn’t taste like it was ordered in. When I asked, I learned both dishes were made in house! Every detail from the beautiful dining room mural, the cute cups and plating to the little stamps on the tortillas were positively received. The bar has been raised! My husband and I were so delighted and relieved to find South American cuisine that didn’t taste like reheated bulk goods. I would highly recommend and will absolutely be back for more.”

“Great outside restaurant. The back has two large fish ponds that the kids loved to look at. I had French toast. It's different than normal bread French toast. It's made on French bread. Still very delicious and would get again!”

“Nice place. Food was excellent. Service was impeccable. Similarly priced to Flemings and similar places. Very dark at first, but you get used to it. Eggplant Napoleon was outstanding.”

“Beautiful relaxing place to have a drink ,oysters on the half shell, and delicious fry seafood. The restaurant was not busy on a Monday, service was very good and meal didn't take long to arrive to our table. It's definitely worth the drive .”

“Relaxed atmosphere 😌. Some beautiful wall art such as beaded tapestries of elephants and dragons. Some white lights for a little romance. The VIP section as I called it lol had a lovely custom built table top. I believe it is cypress and the built in table runner is resin art featuring stones and various rocks. My date and I were the only ones seated for dine- in. However, several patrons came in and picked up to- go orders. The food was AMAZING! I couldn't stop eating 😆. The restaurant closes at 20:00 & as I was putting my food into the box I said, "o.k. just one more bite!" Our server, thoughtfully and playfully eyed me and asked, "would you like a plastic fork?" I said, "yes please!" And laughed. So, she was attentive and full of smiles. The food was exquisite!! I will be going back. Authentic flavors and fresh ingredients! Can't be beat. Large portions as well. I ate from my entrée three separate times. I actually ate some a little while ago for breakfast! 😋😋 i ordered the basil fried rice. It contained onions, bell peppers, and covered in a sweet soy sauce. I forgot what my date ordered but it was a noodle based dish. There is a one toilet unisex bathroom. For parents: there is NOT a changing table inside the restroom. The restroom was clean, it has a lovely large mirror in it though 😍. I enjoyed my cozy romantic dinner under the stoic gazes of the Thai Buddhas.”

“AMAZING BURGERS! Honestly all the food is great the salads are huge, the fried mozzarella appetizer is plenty for 4 people and tasty! Went there today and had the bacon cheese burger with grilled onions and BBQ sauce. A huge hard to finish burger was very good. I'm excited they now have one closer to me than the Mandeville location. I was told they don't have the chili options at this location and one of the burgers are not here either. But the bar they have and the quality burbon on the wall more than makes up for it!”

“Friendly, fun, relaxing place. Great food. Great atmosphere. My parents, Sandy and Ray, aboard the Ohana, keep the boat they got for our family in a slip there. We love it!”

“Phenomenal. Delicious. Flavorful. I’m sure I could come up with more adjectives to describe the lunch we ate at EmpaTaco today but WOW. We ordered the Birria Tacos and the shredded pork Arepa. SO GOOD PEOPLE!! Do yourselves a favor and go check them out…you won’t be disappointed! If I could put a number higher than 5 out of 5, I would lol.”

“We found this place on a drive and really loved it. First off they are dog friendly. It seemed like a local place that was on the water and very laid back. We didn't eat but it looked like the portions were huge and everyone was enjoying the food. They had music we liked, so we sat on the docks with a drink listening to the music. The people were so friendly to us and our dog Max, as it looked like most people knew each other. We even met someone from around were we lived. We also watched the boats go by. We would definately go back again, we loved it.”

“Simple and perfect! What a beautiful day for lounging by the water. The food was good! Not a big menu but hit the spot. I had nachos and my daughter ate her poblano chicken sandwich in a flash! She said it was awesome.”

“Gold is where you find it, and so is good seafood. On a road trip we passed through Madisonville, Louisiana, and had some recommendations as to where to eat. All were closed after the usual lunch hour so we stopped at a simple, rather rustic looking place, and were very pleased. The atmosphere is homey, the people running the restaurant are delightful, the prices were good, and the food was great. Orlando, the owner, came to our table twice to make sure we were happy, and gave us advice to what to see in Madisonville. I ordered the stuffed flounder with sides of new potatoes and vegetables. It came with garlic beard and a house salad with a dressing I had never had before, tomato creole. Seeing how large the entrees were at other tables, my husband had only the soup du jour of crawfish bisque. The flounder was huge and beautifully presented. It was deliciously fresh and more than enough for two.”

“Very swanky, but the food was amazing. I had the 8oz steak that was cooked to perfection. Their drink menu is also pretty spectacular, and I enjoyed the variety of local breweries they had available.”
