Mandeville Cemetery

Some lingering hurricane Ida damage, but a pleasant cemetery.

I don’t have a loved one buried here, but I have visited the cemetery several times on my walks and bike rides. It is very well maintained. The grounds and landscaping are pretty, with a gazebo in the center. There are Civil War era graves here. It is very interesting, and historical, as well as a solemn resting place. There are gates at both entrances. I would definitely use this cemetery for myself, or my family, when the time became necessary.

What can you say about a rural cemetery? It's a great place to visit but I wouldn't want to live here. Although people are just dying to get in here.

Seriously though, there's some very interesting tombs here. Some of these burial sites date back to the turn of the 20th century. Resting place of several brave men that gave their lives serving our wonderful country. God bless their souls.
