Nice day trip to Chauvin. Store is a trip to the past. If you can’t find something ask cause there is stuff everywhere. Don’t expect to find a full line grocery store just the basics. Don’t forget to ride down to coco marina for a great meal
Great gas station and store with lots of antiques and a very friendly staff.
Wow, its a Convinient store , Gas station and antique store very interesting store sits up off the ground on Stilts and raised foundation. many things to see from vintage kitchen items to antique cameras etc Lady was very friendly and informative. definitely a place to visit if you are on vacation at this area.
Great place to visit! It’s a local legend and even the smell when you walk in the door will have you stepping back in time. It’s a quaint, cluttered, little place that has just about anything you can imagine! All this nostalgia and usefulness crammed into this old store makes it the very reason you should visit! Owners are great and very friendly. They’ll give you a tour of the place. You can buy groceries, beer, bait, antiques, cooking utensils, pots and pans, souvenirs and just about anything known to man. Once you’re through inside, go out back through the quirky, eclectic garden and see a beautiful view of the bayou. Worth a trip in itself.
This is one of the coolest places we have ever been! Over 100 years old and owned by the third generation of the Lapeyrouse family. The whole store is set up like a flea market! The front is super charming with a seating area on a raised patio. The best part is the secret garden out back. Oh my gosh! You never see it coming! You walk through the back door down a concrete path that is lined with plants, a bottle tree, and an eclectic collection of antiques and garden art that would make a great coffee table book! Under the covered dock is a bench swing where you can sit and feel the breeze and taste the salt in the air. This place is so worth the trip. Hidden jewel for sure!
