“We are adopting our son who is a perfect match via Bethany. We chose Bethany because there are several Bethany families at my husband's church and having that support network is very helpful for an emotional journey such as this. I like Bethany because it looks at all the parties involved in the adoption triangle. We get the national Bethany magazine and recently there was a story about a birth mother and her life and struggles after placing her child with an adopting family. The classes we had to take placed a lot of emphasis on empathizing with the birth parents. Later we saw a video about adult transracial adoptees and their experiences. It is a Christian organization so there is a lot of prayer throughout the process. Lots. Of. Praying. Prayer is woven through and through, as it is needed. 4 stars instead of 5 because the Crofton location is out of the way for us. It requires a car to get there, and getting on highways. I know this is not a big deal to a lot of people but I like trying to be as car free as possible.”
