Arthur Murray Dance Studio of Edgewater

I was looking for a place where I could get a break from the daily grind - job, kid, commute, emails. Repeat. I had tried ballroom dance about 5 years ago and had enjoyed it. I wanted to sail away again into a waltz, bounce to a foxtrot, or kick to a Lindy Hop. I found it in Edgewater! They say “ If you can walk, you can dance”. Very true!. I started coming here in May and it has been one of the best decisions I have made this year. The staff is extremely friendly and professional and before long you will know all the students as well. We all dance a different levels and we all support each other. There are always words of encouragement from all sides. You can try out new dances whenever you like and advance in the ones you want to focus on. The studio is well-laid out, immaculately clean and all Covid precautions are taken. I can’t say enough how much I enjoy coming here. I am in my 50s, and was worried about starting something so new, and so physical. But it has been an amazingly fulfilling experience. I intend to continue as long as I possibly can! Take the leap! I promise, you will not regret it 😊

This is the dance studio for all levels and styles of ballroom dancing. Whether you are learning to dance for the first time and want to have fun time doing it, looking to brush up and improve your skills, or want to train seriously and compete, the teachers here will work with you on your goals and your needs. The staff is knowledgeable, kind and simply fun to learn and dance with.
I had done some ballroom dancing as a child and wanted to dance again and learn as much as I can. Having looked around for a while, I am so glad to have found this studio and have been enjoying dancing here immensely!
Not to be forgotten, safety is a top priority here,, too. Everyone wears masks and checks in before each class with a temp check and a questionnaire. Class sizes are limited, social distancing and continuous sanitizarion are observed.

My fiancé and I had a wonderful experience learning our first wedding dance. Everything was safe and sanitized when we went in September and October. We socially distanced with other dancers, and we wore our masks the entire time. Mikhala and Lynn were both fantastic and encouraging. Mike and I look forward to going back and progressing our skills after the holidays. I highly recommend Arthur Murray Edgewater if you’re looking to get out of the house and try something new!

My father and I went here amidst COVID guidelines to learn a dance for my wedding. The staff was so pleasant, the procedures were absolutely safe, and most importantly, it was so fun! Large dance floors with small groups of 2-4 people is what we experienced. I highly recommend trying out Arthur Murray- especially now when you are looking for something fun to do amidst this crazy year of 2020! Signed up with Arthur Murray in Edgewater to take dance lessons for my upcoming wedding and could not have picked a better place! They do a fantastic job working with you to figure out exactly what you're looking for in the dance - the skill level, the type of dance, the intro, the choreography, etc. My fiance and I were a little intimidated by the first dance, with neither of us having any dance experience.
