Overlook Dog Park

Great dog park but the county needs to provide shading of some sort. Unfortunately they won't allow pools in the park and took one out that someone brought. They took the pools away in Quiet Waters in 2011 over concerns of keeping them clean. Maybe a splash pad could be a good compromise.

Today, we tried this dog park.

Pros:
Very large
Running water on site
Porta potty on site

Cons:
No trees
No shaded areas

The dogs enjoyed it, but there are no trees and no shade, so the dogs quickly overheated and we had to go. The grass is in great shape, thick and full. The fencing is in great shape as well. There are 3 sections: 2 sections for large dogs and 1 section for small dogs. All were very large. There was also a bathroom on site which was a big plus. Only giving 4 Stars because there are no shaded areas; no trees, no shaded tent or Pavillion.

Great dog park with 3 big yards with high fences. 2 for larger dogs and 1 for small dogs, there's benches for the people, fresh water access in all yards, and there's a basketball court and soccer field for the kids too.

Big, open, and clean spaces, but with some bad flaws.

1. There is ZERO shade.
2. The outer gate latch is broken, held with a bungee cord. I know my dog could push it past
3. While there are poo bags in the park, the disposal cans are outside the park.

Very big dog park that's usually pretty populated with dogs in the afternoon. Since I've been going here, they've added dog bag stations, have water sources outside of winter and the owners are pretty good at letting dogs be dogs.
