“Dr. Raymond Hoffman saved my life. After weeks (months) of suffering from a pain in my head caused by an SNRI drug which everyone told me shouldn't be happening, Dr. Hoffman diagnosed me with what is tentatively termed a "complex migraine", and put me on a strong anti-seizure medication, Topomax. I had been in hospitals, seen doctors, other psychiatrists, some who were outright mean because they didn't believe me because nothing was showing up on MRI's or in other tests. I was dying from the pain. Really. I wouldn't have lasted another week. Dr. Hoffman was the only one who figured it out. Topomax, which I take regularly, and in the beginning, Clonazapam (short-term anti-seizure medication which calms you down) was his solution, and he listened to me, believed me, and he saved my life. He is patient, gentle, and he still listens to me every time we meet. I wish we had more time to spend together, but he is too busy saving the lives of others.
