Bringing Hope Community Services (BHCS) is an organization that operates with a team of Psychiatric Rehabilitation Program (PRP) counselors, psychiatrists, therapists, and social workers to provide mental health services to children and adults regardless of their race, gender and cultural background. At BHCS we do not discriminate and are very respectful of human rights and dignity.
BHCS has for mission, empowerment of individuals who suffer from mental illnesses, so they can have better control of their health and social lives. The program seeks to support individuals in acquiring certain mental health stability through PRP. It is our desire to fight mental health stigma by empowering each individual who enters our facility.
PRP counselors provide on-site and off-site visits. Their work focuses on individual rehabilitation plans (IRPs) previously developed by patients and an intake specialist. PRP counselors' roles include assisting patients in increasing independent living and coping skills, securing housing, securing gainful employment, returning to school, and maintaining good grades.
PRP counselors also assist clients in securing other resources in their community such as health insurance, transportation, income, food, energy, and water assistance. Other services provided at BHCS include money and anger management, clothing donations to individuals in need, childrens' Toys donations, and shelter placement for the homeless.
