Cheng's Acupuncture Clinic( Chengzhang Shi L.Ac.)

I tried several Chinese medical doctors in the DC/Maryland area and found Dr. Cheng to be the best. He is both very knowledgeable and personable. He has a good bedside manner, his office and acupuncture approach is very hygienic, and he takes a variety of insurance plans.

I went to Dr. Cheng for insomnia, which I had been struggling on and off with for over a year. After a week of very poor sleep, I slept better after my first acupuncture session with Dr. Cheng. He also prescribed me a herbal formula that has resulted in better sleep quality over the two months that I've been taking it. I'm confident that Dr. Cheng diagnosed me correctly and stimulated the right acupuncture points and prescribed the right herbs. That is essential in Chinese medicine.

I highly recommend Dr. Cheng, especially for any chronic issues you may be struggling with.

The doctor is so nice and very professional. With his help, my lower back pain almost totally recovered. I start running and doing yoga again. My TMJ problem was solved amazingly. I used to not trust the acupuncture that much. Now I just try to let people know if you get the right doctor it is really helpful.

Dr. Cheng helped me with my back and shoulder pains. He is very insightful, thoughtful, and skillful. I was in sever back and shoulder pains after I was involved in a hit and run car accident. Nothing made me feel better and I had to take medication to ease my pain. Since I visited Dr. Cheng, I feel a lot better.

Furthermore, when my daughter was 6 weeks pregnant, he told us that she was pregnant with a baby girl! Also, he told my daughter that the baby was pretty big and healthy - not fat but pretty tall. Indeed, when she was born she was pretty tall and also such a happy baby. We still tell the story to our friends and families.

My son-in-law suffered from pain in his right arm for a while so I recommended him to Dr. Cheng for a treatment. Now he can freely move his right arm without any discomfort and enjoys all his normal activities without pain.

He is an amazing acupuncturist and we will recommend him to anyone who needs help to feel better!

Dr. Chengzhang Shi is AMAZING!!! He has helped me in so many ways from issues with sleep, mood, stress,etc. If I miss an appointment, I feel "off". I also get neck spasms a few times a year that are very painful and he is able (without drugs) to make the spasm and pain decrease immediately and then go away completely. He really cares about his patients and takes the time to really hear any concerns you may be having. He really takes into account the "whole" you. I would never go to another acupuncturist!

I was diagnosed with radial nerve palsy (drop wrist) and my neurologist said it would be months before I would be able to use my hand again. That was devastating since my job requires me to be on a computer all day! I am so happy that I found Dr. Chen and after only a few treatments I saw great improvement. After a total of 10 visits I’m completely healed and have full use of my hand.
