There are bathrooms in the building. This is Baltimore's hidden gem. A great place for birding or walking a trail. The cove is home to Baltimore's own pair of nesting bald eagle. Go see Capt Trash Wheel up close. Amazing view of the city.
What a pleasant surprise. Wasn't sure what to expect when asked to attend the field trip but it was an amazing experience for the kids. Everyone learned so much and the hands on activities and constant movement kept them engaged the entire time. The staff were extremely knowledgeable and the program was well designed. Teachers, this is a trip worth taking!
Surprisingly nice little park situated in a mostly industrial area. Free to visit and with a decent-sized lot for a dozen or two cars. There are a handful of trails of various lengths that give wonderful views of the bay and Baltimore close on the other shore. A haven for birds, including songbirds, ducks, and raptors, and other wildlife. There is a fair bit of trash on the shore due to it's location, but the grounds themselves are well maintained. The visitor center itself seems nice but i have only been inside briefly.
Notes from visit in December 2021 - Most of the trails are currently closed until summer due to nesting birds in the western part of the park. It's still great for a short outing though, and the trails should open up again in summer. The visitor center is also closed but you can buzz in to use the restroom. Masks are required to do so.
Nice trails, a pier into the bay, lots of nature, great views - right on the edge of the city. Saw some deer there today. The exhibits in the building are still closed (due to covid, I presume) but the restrooms are open.
Great small park filled with tons of nature. A beautiful urban wetland. Cute little trails to explore.
