  We have been living here for about 2 months now and absolutely love it! The apartments are in great condition and are extremely spacious. The balcony and in-unit washer and dryer is an amazing amenity of this apartment complex. I love being secluded in the forest, it makes me feel safe and it’s extremely quiet. Yes the application piece is long and a bit complicated, but worthwhile and guarantees that you will have great (and responsible) neighbors. Best decision we made choosing Dickey Hill!

  Really great place to live. I love the responsive staff and the full size washer and dryer.

  I've lived here for 8 months and everything about this community is good except for the management, they are exceptional! Given the area we are located, they have obviously worked very hard to make DHF a pleasant place to be. Miss Vickie, O.T., and Miss Dawn are great.
  
  The apartments themselves are well-kept, the outside is picked-up daily. Appliances and fixtures have been updated where needed. The windows are newer too. The gym is new and I usually have the whole thing to myself. Having a dishwasher, garbage disposal, personal washer/dryer, air conditioning, large windows, AND a balcony set DHF apart from other similarly-priced communities.
  Everything is included in the rent (trash, water, sewer, gym, etc) except for gas and electric, which you pay on your own. There are no variable costs in the rent.
  The complex is well-lit, surrounded by a tall fence, there are plenty of cameras, and security patrols the parking lots at night. I have always felt safe on the property.
  
  Pros:
  - Lots of amenities included
  - Clean
  - Close to I-70
  - Rent is the same month-to-month
  - Thick exterior walls and efficient windows
  - Maintenance addresses even minor issues in a timely manner
  - Staff are pleasant
  - Security is taken seriously
  - Quiet hours
  - Visitor parking
  - I've never had a door-to-door scammer/salesman
  - People don't loiter outside your door
  - Dumpsters are not far away
  - There are a few large grassy areas where kids/parents can play outside
  - Updated kitchen
  - Updated appliances and fixtures
  - Ample counter space (kitchen and bathroom)
  - Wooded setting (my apartment overlooks the woods)
  - Apartment was clean on move-in
  
  Cons (I tried hard to come up with these):
  - The front door is not well sealed or something, noise gets through easily
  - The larger blinds are fragile
  - My bedroom light is switched from the hallway
  - One of my neighbors must be a terrible cook because they set their smoke alarm off at dinnertime about once a week
  
  Overall, a very nice community to live in.

  Today I'm sad to say my goodbyes to Dickey Hill Forest Apartments. Four years ago, I decided to relocate to the city from Owings Mills. I was in search of living that was equivalent to what I was used to, but affordable. The location was ideal because it lies between the city & the county, so traveling either way took no time. This development is very well kept & the units are spacious. Also, the community is very quiet & I felt very safe living here. Out of four years, I think I may have had about 4 maintenance requests that were addressed almost as soon as I submitted them. The new gym is beautiful and full of nice exercise equipment. The management staff was supportive, caring & very polite. They have the absolute best person, Ms Vickie, greeting everyone. My only reason for leaving is because my family has expeanded & we are in need of more space, however if I were to down size, Dickey Hill woukd be the first place that I'd look to live. I would like to that this time to thank everyone at Dickey Hill Forest Apartments for making my four years of living an awesome experience.
