Omgsh! Me and the husbae are newlyweds and thought this was a mistake. It wasn’t unt Veronica help us to see that because of our backgrounds we were expecting different outcomes. As most couples experience bad communication skills I thought I was communicating! Veronica stopped me I. My tracks and said “ the way u communicating is more like a dictator and not a partner” this made me hear her out. She explain that most couples think because they are talking they believe they are communicating. She explain from both angles that we both struggled with this. She was not afraid to stop me in my tracks and was not afraid to tell him to step up all in one breath. I really appreciate her real easy and her interest in making black couples survive. The letters behind the name are absolutely important, offering evidence of proper education and training. Sometimes you do your research, and it still isn't enough. There are so many counselors to choose from and be "assigned" to by insurance. In a warm and comfortable environment, Veronica delivers knowledge and professionalism and provides so much more. I am there to be thoroughly analyzed in order to receive proper treatment. What I did not expect yet received was compassion, understanding, active listening, observation and feedback in a judgement free zone. I look forward to each session with her and leave feeling energized and hopeful. I found my person. I found the right fit. Keeping it real always, we will "together achieve freedom".
