Our main reason for checking out this beach was because we could bring the dog. I was very pleased. Nice size beach. Our dog loved it. Not a lot of parking . Bring bug spray. The mosquitos were bad even in October. Steep hill coming back but we are 67 and 68 and made it no problem. Nice find!

Don't have enough amazing things to say about this park. Absolutely beautiful. Fossil hunting, pet friendly, family friendly. Pristine. Quiet. Can get busy on holidays but other than that- very quiet and peaceful. Beautiful views. We love it here.

Great place to spend the day at the bay! We have found coral, shells and shark teeth at this location. Beach is approximately half a mile from the parking lot, so be prepared to walk down a trail. There is a handicapped parking lot closer to beach, but you will still need to go down part of the trail on foot. Waves are very calm and you can walk into the water very far with it only being up to your waist. No lifeguards on duty, swim at your own risk. Sometimes there are jellyfish so it's best to visit their website prior to a visit.

A nice little beach experience for the young kids, lots of shells, a good little hike, and not too expensive to get in. All the kids had a great time and didn't want to leave at the end of the day. Of course one we got in the car the youngest ones fell asleep right away. Will go back again to spend the day at the beach.

Flag Ponds Nature Park is a great place to take your dog! We stopped at Flag Ponds on the Saturday of Memorial Day weekend around 6:30 pm. The staff warned us that the beach was closing in an hour, but we decided to enter anyway since we only wanted to be there for an hour or two at most.
