“I can't say enough good things about Country Acres. The owners and staff really do care about their residents. My stepdad is 95 years old and needs assistance, but he is proud and refuses to admit he can't do what he used to do. Despite this, he eagerly relies on the staff to help and direct him on a daily basis. He is in love with Country Acres. They have found the key to dealing with his disposition. The atmosphere at the place is wonderful and the surroundings very serene. If you are thinking about placing a loved one in an Assisted Living enviornment, I highly recommend you visit Country Acres and spend some time with the staff and current residents.”

“My girlfriend wanted to give me something very special for my birthday and she surprised me with a hot air balloon ride! This experience was absolutely bucket-list worthy! The ride was unreal and so peaceful. We rode towards the end of October and so all the fall colors were out. So beautiful! The couple who runs the business was so sweet and nice to us. We met them at their home and drove over to the AG Center for lift off. After landing we went back to their house and they explained some traditions tied to hot air ballooning which includes drinking champagne afterwards! They also gave us each a small pin of their balloon as a memento of the occasion. I highly recommend this couple and their hot air balloon service as it is a once in a lifetime experience!!”

“I brought a team of Minstrel Performers on Nov 10, 2017. Staff was extremely accommodating, residents and their family were incredibly loving and accepting of myself and the other Dance Ministers. We look forward to returning and singing some Christmas tunes together. The atmosphere is warm and the residents very well taken care of and protected. I was pleasantly taken aback at the home environment. Residents are not this warm and friendly unless they are receiving love and attention from this incredible and intimate staff. I pray all nursing homes were like this. Kudos and God bless each of you!”

“Jules Weber...Sorry you were at the wrong location...The church you are referring to is Zion United Methodist Church of Shipley. It was built in 1882 and is the oldest and only church from the Former Methodist Protestant Church still being used in Carroll County, Maryland.. a museum in itself! Church building is basically the same as it was since 1882. Across the road is the Morgan Run Schoolhouse. Built in 1897 and was the location for many programs and socials for the church...Yes, the “old schoolhouse” is a home with many things from its past on display. Maybe when you write your reviews you could do a little more research instead of doing a “drive by” and stating what you THINK it is.”
