A simple park with one short loop hiking trail built around it, offering plenty of views of the bay and lagoon. Binoculars would be good to bring along, but there is a free telescope to use. Very secluded and quiet place. Looks really nice for small boats and kayaks.
This park is by the water and has a boat ramp for boats and other water sports. It has a 0.8 mi hiking trail into the woods and open field. I was hoping most of the trail was along the water but it's not. It has 2 portable toilets, of which 1 is larger than the standard size. The water view is beautiful.
Among the many fish I caught here was an eight pound bass in the late '70's. Then it was an old winding washed out road that led down to the water. The slips moored a half a dozen boats or so and they were still there in the eighties and nineties. Now it's a beautiful family setting, with ease of access. Still good fishing though.
Nice little Park but even more interesting if you have a kayak or like fishing. Take your kayak out and see the dozens of ships intentionally buried in the bay decades ago. There is a trail to hike, with benches, but the trail is short, only .8 miles.
This is a great park, the shipwrecks are really cool. But, they aren't that close to shore. To really experience them, you really need either a boat (preferably a kayak) or a drone.
