I had the experience of using Children of America through the Essential Workers Program. I loved this center. It was my infant first experience away from myself and husband , they totally made me feel comfortable. My 3 year old also attended and he loved the school as well. The director Ms. Sherae is professional and keeps you up-to-date on your child's status. I love the app that they use called Tadpoles that let you know everything your child d id throughout the day. The only reason I'm pulling my kids out is because of tuition cost not fitting into my budget, but if you can afford send your child to this center.its worth it.
I love COA Waldorf. I can honestly say my experience has been amazing. My son is in one of the infant classes. In the mornings I am more familiar with Mrs. Stacey and Mrs. Teresa. Omg my 1 year old loves his teachers. When I drop him off he can’t wait to get over to them especially Mrs Teresa, he forgets all about mommy and just looks so happy to be there. I’m telling you this makes me feel very at ease and relaxed because with all the craziness going on in today’s world, it’s hard to trust other people with your kid but seeing how happy my little one is makes my day go by a lot better while I’m at work away from him. My son is always changed in a timely manner and fed and if there are any questions or concerns they don’t hesitate to call me or my husband. The center looks clean and everyone is always friendly. Especially the centers director she is always front and center and very much hands on with running her business and I can definitely appreciate that. Overall for me I say so far so good I definitely give them 10s 10s 10s across the board!!!!!lol.
My family recently moved to the Waldorf area and we explored several learning centers for our 1 year old and decided on COA and enrolled her in mid September. So far we've had a very positive experience with both the management and the teachers. The building is very secure as well as the playground. We were very pleased that they offer meals to pre-toddlers under 18 months where other centers did not. The children stay busy and are always exploring. My daughter's teacher Ms. B is very informative and always willing to take time out to update me at the end of the day. You can tell the way she interacts with each of the children that she really loves her job and connects with each and every one of them. Ms. Sherae and Ms. Tasha are always in good spirits and available to answer any questions or concerns. I appreciate the daily reports we receive on the center's app as well the availability to check in on the cameras during the day. I'm thrilled that most of the staff knows my daughter by her name. I definitely give an A+ for attention to detail and communication and look forward to my daughter growing with this center. The only feedback I have at this time from a personal standpoint is I would love to see a bit more variety in the meal plan. They do a great job with nutritional balance for the meals but I hope to see the menu evolve at some point.
My three children have all been at COA for about a year now. The staff is lovely and they are always happy to attend. That’s due in large part to the amazing staff.
Ms. Stacey and Ms. Teresa were amazing with my infant daughter, who struggle transitioning from breast to bottle. They were very patient with her. Always made sure she was clean and well loved. I always felt comfortable leaving her in their care when heading off to work. They always sent photos and videos through tadpole so I knew what she was up to and got to see how much fun she was having with them.
Ms. Monica was also very patient with my son, who is your sterotypical energetic, headstrong boy. She was always very patient with him but also kind. He was very sad when he moved on to the next class to leave her. He is now with Ms. Carroll who is amazing. She always plans the most creative activities and projects for the kids and he loves going to her class. She is also stern with him, which he needs.
Overall my kids are thriving, learning a ton, and love going to COA Waldorf. I was very nervous putting my children in daycare for the first time but they have put my fears to rest. All of these ladies are amazing to me and my family and I am so grateful my kids got to know and grow with them.
I have been a Children of America parent for two months. My daughter has blossomed in that time. She is very independent and self directed. The teachers are caring and attentive. How do I know, their Always Close By monitoring option allows me to peek in occasionally to see how my daughter is doing! The center is secure and my fellow parents are a joy to interact with in passing.
This is a great place to bring your child(ren). Children of America is affordable, the staff is communicative, and the teachers are caring. After reading the posts from one year ago, it appears that management change has worked. The center's director is professional and a joy to work with.
