Curator is doing very well. Museum was good for the soul. Everyone’s soul.
Outstanding with back ground information on Harriet Tubman I have no idea excited.
Overall, and looking at how the material presented is designed to portray a very specific story in a specific way, I think it does accomplish its goals.
As a historian of the building arts myself, I found that it feels too detached from history and place and time because everything is presented in a sort of postmodern, evocative, very stylized fashion. Quite differently from how anything described would have actually looked or been set.
It would be too harsh to say that they've given a Disney-fied version Harriet Tubman's life and work. But considering how it has been so thoroughly processed and repackaged for ease of consumption, the analogy is not inapt.
There was new buildings on property. Their awesome is historical for whom work ans slavery. The is better is issued.
Everybody in Maryland should visit at least once. It has a great display, and my kids and I learned a lot about Harriet Tubman. It's so quiet here, and except for some telephone wires in the distance, it gave me a nice feeling for what this place must've felt like 150 years ago. Stop in as you drive by to the Shore. It would be cool if the store had more biographies of Harriet Tubman, and if there were some trails to walk around on and get a feeling for what it was like to hike North to freedom.
