These pictures were taken on the back side of the Chevrolet Loop Trail. The starting point is near the Woodstock Inn. I've done the hike in early fall and again in late fall. Both were great. It is nice to have trails like this close to Baltimore. It is a 6.8 mile hike, not too difficult, and takes about 2.5 hours to 3 hours to complete. The old Chevy is updated periodically. Thanks for whoever maintains the remains.

What a wonderful state park to visit. We've had lots of great hikes here. Several different trails to choose from especially since there are multiple park sections to visit. Great spots!

Have fond memories of fishing and swimming in the water here. There can be water spiders in some areas that were fun to catch.
The parking area can be difficult, on the car though. Also, there are blind and tight turns so practice caution. I have had several people run out in front of me, dogs, and occasionally bikers. Overall one of my favorite places

The Hilton area is okay for kids. There are nice play areas and nature walks. The hiking trails are short in this area. If you want to get some great hiking and long trails, go to the Avalon entrance. This is a beautiful well- maintained park. Bring a trash bag and take your trash with you when you leave. I like to bring a picnic lunch and spend the day enjoying the trails.
