“Before having dental implant surgery, I hesitated a few months on whether to have the surgical procedure, and where to have it. I had a beautiful bridge, but bridges do not last. The 12 year-old bridge gradually cracked and chipped causing painful dental issues. It was time for a change. I decided to go with Dr. Ellahe Amini because in the long run, she’s always done well with my teeth. Dr. Amini was very patient with me during implant placement surgery, and I appreciated her talking through what was happening with each step. Three implants were placed, and I got through with her kind professionalism and gentle humor. The gums where the dental implants were placed healed up nicely after a few months, and last September the permanent prostheses were completed. I looked at them and felt so pretty I cried. The teeth look and feel quite natural. I can smile widely again. I hadn’t realized how much I suppressed smiling naturally until the implants were completed. Her staff and front desk manager were absolutely patient with me, and were available for any questions and follow-up care. Dr. Amini has been my dentist for many years now and has seen my teeth go through changes due to grinding. I’m glad she did the procedure. The effect turned out beautifully!”

“I don't know if I have ever said that I love going to the dentist, but I can say I now enjoy going to Dr.D's office! At 52 years old, I have only ever had one cavity and then I moved to MD and the first dentist office I found tried to tell me I had 16 cavities!!! Thankfully I decided to wait 6 mths and try a different office. That office was Monocacy River Dental. And though I did end up with three and 1/2 cavities, it certainly wasn't 16!! Dr. D has excellent chair side manner; always walking me through everything and has a very gentle touch. I even enjoy the rest of the staff as well... from the receptionists, to my dental assistant, and the billing people. Another plus is that I have never had to book three months out just to get an appointment. Though I don't want them to get too busy, I can easily recommend them to anyone, ;) Actually my husband used this same office and he had an excellent experience as well with the doctor he saw!! UPDATE: Still going to the office, but found out today that Dr. D is not coming back from her maternity leave. Decided to stay home with her baby. It would have been nice to receive notification. The new permanent doctor seems nice enough, but not quite the same as Dr. D. Hoping things will get back to amazing. Right now it is just good. The doctor my husband saw has also left. Hope this isn't a pattern. I'd like to get consistent care.”

I've always been a triage type dental patient. When something falls out, then I'll get it fixed. I understand that's makes me less than a perfect patient. So it's important to me that I have a dentist that who explains to me what would be best, but understands that I may not jump on everything.
