  Ladew Gardens is a great place to have a peaceful outing with friends or family. Be sure to wear shoes you can walk in. I would also recommend checking out the food! It's a pleasant surprise to have good food in a beautiful park

  a great place to unwind - de-stress and let go .... at least for a few hours! DO NOT MISS THE BUTTERFLY HOUSE!

  I visited ladue to see their Christmas show. They decorate the mansion with Christmas decorations every year and it's very beautiful to see.

  Amazing!!! The grounds are absolutely gorgeous. The tour was wonderful and full of great information about Mr Ladew and his lifestyle. We had a wonderful docent in Germaine, who was a wealth of knowledge about the life and times of the house. The cafe on the grounds had delicious food and refreshing lemonade. A lovely retreat to get away from the hustle and bustle, highly recommended.

  Though we went on a steamy day, we enjoyed our visit. It makes for a nice 1.5-2 hour walk through their gardens. Lots of selfie and photo opportunities throughout. Quaint gift shop, tours of the main house, and a wilderness/nature walk as well. Middle of nowhere so that’s definitely nice, except it took forever to find a nearby eatery. Recommend for a relaxing half day trip from DC.
