This library is perfect! As an adult needing a study place, it's nice that they have levels. I love kids, but they come with lots of distractions. This library has 3 levels, which separate the kids level from the adults. It has lots of areas to study, both in open spaces, as well as private rooms. Glad I checked it out.
This place is great for the kids and adults. They have a big play area with props on the first floor. Innovation lab with a 3-D printer and projects for kids to do. Lots of computers (for kids and adults), both windows and Mac systems. Printers and scanners for a fee (they take credit cards. They have large and small meeting rooms. Along with passport services. And tons of selection of all kinds of media (BOOKS, videos, games, and a whole lot more). Great staff and volunteers.
Awesome library!!! We travel from Aberdeen to come here. 100 times better than the small outdated one we have right down the street from us. There is a large selection of books and tons of fun for the Littles. Highly recommend Belair library. Added bonus: staff is super friendly and helpful. Great place to take the kiddos over the summer.
The new children's wing was updated in September 2016. I took my two year old this morning and he had a BLAST! The amount of pretend play activities is amazing. There is a play General Store, with food, tools bench, dress up clothes. Then there is a post office, train station and train. As well as a pond with fishing tools and a story center. It is a great location! The books and activity boxes are all around these play activities and the selection is very large. The books are categorized by age level.
They have great rooms for public meetings. Their newly renovated children's section is awesome! The adult reference section has plenty of work space, computers and resources. The librarians are great.
