Y’all need to go ahead and get here! EVERYTHING WAS AMAZING!! My curry chicken had the right kind of spice. Rice and peas was good, veggies was good.
My friend got the oxtail and loved it. She complained about not enough gravy but everyone knows you have to ask for extra.
I put my beef patty inside my cocoa bread and it was perfect. 100/10!
LOVE this place, the food is ALWAYS delicious. You can’t go wrong. The chef and owner takes great pride in delivering the most mouth watering, authentic cuisine around. If you’re feeling irie then this is the place to go!
The best Jamacian spot you'll find in the area. Fresh, authentic, and honestly addictive. They give REAL portions of oxtail with gravy - the right way. All of their cocoa bread is made from scratch and you can taste it. If you call or come in and hear a British woman, don't be FOOLED! There's a real Jamaican man in the back making your food. Plus, she'll tell you herself when you give her that questionable look. Ive been coming here for months and if my wallet could afford it, I'd come daily.
Update:
My only word of caution is you might end up leaving with more food than you originally planned. I HATE pumpkin and the chef had my mouth watering for his Pumpkin soup (with dumplings, potato, carrots, and I think pumpkin pieces) before I even got home. I would've taken photos but nobody has time to sit for a photo at that point. 😒
Was very surprised with how good the food was, after trying other Caribbean restaurants in the area. I had the coco bread jerk chicken sandwich, which was amazing. I also got the rice and beans (peas?), and 1/4 jerk chicken, both of which were very good. I think my favorite purchase was the sorrel drink however, tasted very authentic. The best Jamaican food I've had in a restaurant setting, reminded me of getting homemade food from my Jamaican friends.
