Joppa Family Dentistry

My very first appointment at Joppa Family Dentistry was lovely. I don't say that lightly, for I have had many negative experiences with other dentists in the area. All of the staff was incredibly kind to me and to each other, which was incredibly refreshing. I went in with mild discomfort and Dr. Shapiro was able to identify the issue and resolve it within an hour. He made sure I was comfortable the entire time, and checked on my comfort as he was working on my teeth. The soothing music and images on the tv were a bonus! I'll definitely be going back!

This was my first time visiting Joppa Family Dentistry because of my nervousness I forgot my dental insurance card The receptionist at the counter Comfort me and assured me it will be OK and we’ll get that matter taken care of as I sat they’re calling my company to get my insurance number. I noticed customers coming in and leaving with this amazingly happy look On their face how could this be? How could they be so happy to come to the dentist and leave the dentist? I now know why because the entire dental staff really believe in customer service Dr.Oh was so kind and very knowledgeable. I like her honest approach The dental assistant, and the receptionist, the whole team treat you like your family I will Definitely refer this location. and look forward to my next appointment.

The best dental experience I've ever had, by far. Everyone from the office manager to the dental assistant to the dentist were so friendly and professional, I was immediately put at ease. Dr. Oh made sure to explain everything she was doing and the plan going forward.
The office itself is clean and modern. I highly recommend this practice to anyone who is looking for a new dentist.

I had to cancel an appointment in October due to travel. Gina rescheduled me but February was the earliest available time for my routine cleaning. Gina called last week to tell me of a cancellation and to ask if I wanted it. I did just that. The staff was, as always, extremely friendly and competent. We’ve been with that office for at least 20 years and I’ve always felt welcomed. I admit to being concerned when Dr. Rutherford retired, but the transition was flawless and the new dentists are both wonderful —and gentle! Over the past few years I’ve called with a dental concern and Gina always managed to fit me in almost immediately. Kudos to the entire staff!

I just started going to this dental practice six or eight months ago and so far I’m very pleased with the staff and the treatment I receive there. The dental hygienist I had was very thorough. My dentist, Dr. Shapiro is very knowledgeable, and he is not pushy in terms of recommending dental services that are not necessary. I recently has 2 cavities filled-painless! They took before, and after pictures of and showed me exactly what they did, step-by-step. The staff is friendly, and the prices are reasonable. I have insurance, but I pay out of pocket for my daughters cleanings and it didn’t break the bank. I highly recommend this practice although I would like to keep them a secret,
