One of my grandchildren (age 7) was having a sleepover with us, and he was in the throes of a full-blown migraine. I called Jennifer to ask if she had any suggestions on how to help him. She asked me to put him on the phone. In less than a minute, he stopped crying and his eyes became heavy. He was whispering "mhmmm" and was patting the phone lovingly. He quickly feel asleep. I took the phone from his cheek and asked Jennifer if she had reike'd him. She said she had and to tell him to remember that the angels would stay with him to help keep his pain away. He slept peacefully through the night, and awoke with no sign of a headache. It's so hard to see a little one screaming in pain and to see the peace wash over him so quickly was magical.
