River Hill Optical (RHO) is indeed a great local optical center that serves the local community. My experience with RHO has been nothing short of being 100% satisfied.
First, they treat people so fairly and nicely. Years ago, before I bought anything from RHO, one temple of the frame of my glasses was loosened with respect to the hinge. An RHO staff fixed the issue for me right away without charging me a dime or first asking me whether I was an existing customer. Later, I bought a pair of glasses from them. And a few years later, an hinge of my glasses was broken. I took the glass to RHO again. This time, a lay RHO staff first tried to fix it without success. Then Dan, who I believe is the glass guru, took over the repair right away and spent a good 40 minutes to look for all possible solutions and eventually managed to find a temporary solution that saved my day! Dan was my life saver! Dan did not charge me a dime. For such a difficult repair, they could have easily either chosen not to help, or found an excuse to delay the repair. Dan and the lady staff did not do either. Instead they immediately went to work, and solved this hinge issue for me. I cannot tell how appreciative of their help I was.
Second, I subscribed and bought a pair of glasses from them a few years back. While I was there to try to get a suitable pair of glasses, Dan was very patient, explaining new technologies and advantages of each new technology. Also, I got a lot of good advice from Dan for the frame. I eventually decided to get the transition lens with the anti-reflective technology. During the calibration and adjustment phase, Dan was extremely patient in making sure that I was 100% comfortable with the frame. The glasses that I got them was SUPER! I love the transition part and the anti-reflective part. Also, I love the frame (which Dan carefully calibrated and adjusted for me to make the frame very comfortable and secure to wear). After four years, I am still wearing this glasses that I got from RHO and I am still loving it.
To sum, RHO would be the only place that I would go to get my new glasses. They are experienced, professional, and have all the expertise second to none! Also, their customer service is indeed second to none, as proved by my experience with them. I definitely recommend RHO to people living in the local communities for glasses needs.

I've been a patient of Dr. Flemke's for several years. He is extremely professional and knowledgeable. He does a great job examining my kids' eyes, making it fun, rather than scary. The other folks that work in his office are very friendly and helpful with picking out frames. Highly recommend!
