Hawthorn Park

My kiddos love this park has swings

Hawthorne Park is always clean and ready for play time this family oriented park is the best by far and has enough equipment for families to comfortably enjoy their visit and take turns with the public.

Not much shade so it was pretty toasty under the sun, but lots of options for the kids to play with. Balls kept coming over the fence from the preschool next door, but none close enough to be a safety hazard.

We had a great family picnic under a shady tree. After, our 4-year-old and our 1-year-old both loved exploring the playground area. It was perfect with both a tot sized and big kid playground, seings, and a sandbox. There were lots of people out on the beautiful day, but almost everyone wore masks or kept their distance. We had a great time!

This is a great park - there is a playground, lots of open space, and the Hawthorn community center is right next door with lots of events that they organize and host. The Columbia path system runs along it and paths lead to various other places of interest. There is also a community pool adjacent to it that is great for kids as well as adults. Overall this is a wonderful place for a variety of recreational activities and I would definitely recommend a visit.
