Columbia School of Music has been a fixture in our childrens' lives for the last three years. My son started when he was four and my daughter when she was three. Mr. Kurt's approach has been to emphasize critical thinking not memorization. I think that lessons with Columbia School of Music has helped both our kids pick-up math, spelling and problem solving skills. They are both well ahead of their age group in both math and written skills.
Mr. Kurt is good with kids and has a firm and well honed process for teaching music; there is an intentional method to his lessons.
You have to find a music teacher that your children feel most comfortable with, but you won't find a more capable teacher than at Columbia School of Music.
Starting guitar lessons at Columbia School of Music has been a positive transformational experience in my life. I am in my late 40s and didn't think it was possible to learn music later in life, but Mr. Kurt proved me wrong. I am learning something new in every class and making progress everyday. The sessions are fun and engaging, and I look forward to them every week. Mr Kurt teaching demonstrates the perfect mixture of patient practice for improvement and new pieces that keep the motivation constant. It has been worth every minute of my time.
Mr. Kurt is an excellent teacher. He is so professional. Our son has been learning and enjoying piano under his guidance for nearly 3 years now. We like how easily he transitioned to online classes. I would surely recommend Columbia school of music to anyone.
Kurt does a really good job of teaching music. My son has been taking piano lessons over 4 years and I started guitar almost a year ago. It is a lot of fun! And now we are doing virtual lessons with Facetime which works out even better. I highly recommend Columbia School of Music.
