I had a positive experience and received a thorough work-up and accurate diagnoses after 30 years of spinning my wheels trying to figure out what was wrong with me and why standard depression meds (SSRIs) never fully worked. Insight has been key to managing my symptoms. They also offer many educational programs for patients and families.
I've been reading all of these negative reviews about Thrive and Dr. Silver and I feel like I've entered a parallel universe I've been with Dr. Silver since the early nineties and if not for the care of everyone at Thrive I can honestly say I'd be long gone. And I'm not talking about a vacation. I have depression, ADHD and have had no problems discussing my feelings about the amount of meds I'm on and I have always been listened to and if necessary my meds will be changed until I feel comfortable. My pharmacist has told me that Dr. Silver is the ONLY doctor that returned his call when he was concerned I was taking over the prescribed amount medication. I had just lost my husband and was having trouble functioning. Not only did I get an immediate call from Dr. Silver but he informed me that if I didn't drive directly to Shepherd Pratt he would call the police to escort me there. Thank God for everyone at Thrive especially Dr. Silver and John Yearick. They have given me the life I once thought I didn't deserve.
One final thought. If you're having problems with these clinicians perhaps it's because you are only giving them half of your truth
The Thrive community is one of the best Counseling & Mental Health facilities in Maryland. They have let me literally Thrive in Life with what they helped me in which of Life Coaching, Highly recommend them for their services.
