In the long contended Sprouts vs Whole Foods debate, it comes down to this: do you want to spend $60 on 3 bags of food or 1 bag?
While Whole Foods on lake K may have a more scenic location and a more extensive browsing experience, 50% of the time we just leave empty handed because the prices are just absurd (unless you find a weekly prime deal!)
Sprouts prices I would say are about 80-90% of WF for the same quality. The array may not be as vast, but it’s the same hippy, health conscience vibe minus a little bit of the the pretension. A year ago, I would have given 5 ⭐️ because they tended to have pretty great prices but they’ve been creeping up in the last 6 months.
Still will say, their the produce is very nice and fresh (aside from the arugula.. what is up???)
We love going here on Friday or Saturday nights for a less guilty snack and their selection of Enlightened ice creams is too notch and always on sale.
Beautiful inside. So well organized and always stocked. Love the fresh/organic/vegan selections. Also has an incredible bulk section with candies, nuts, seeds, beans, rice, spices and more! Staff is super friendly, always going above and beyond. I'm glad they have a self-checkout although it's never crowded with lines.
Shopping made easy with ready made and deli made sandwiches. There is a wide selection of healthy food options as well as fresh produce and quality cuts of meat. Check out the cold oat milk lattes I. The fridge and the ALIVE kombuchas. The eating area is quiet and has motivation material in the wall. The message and mission is a model for other stores.
The staff is helpful and very friendly. Thank you for serving the community and serving quality food.
Love this little supermarket! It's like a smaller version of whole foods with it's own private label. Everything I have tried has been great and the prices are usually good on produce and in the competitive range for other things considering most are organic or all natural or specialty of some sort. The meats are expensive but have always been well butchered and delicious. I've been meaning to try their sushi special I think it’s on Wednesdays. Their health and beauty section is impressive and have good sales a few times a year. The staff is always friendly and super helpful. I even did a grocery pickup a few times this summer and it worked out great! But I like shopping this store it's very easy to shop, even with my little kids I can get in and out in 20-30 mins and get everything I came for. I also feel like I shop smarter (because it can get pricey quick) and healthier when shopping here, fewer distracting choices and more healthier options everywhere I turn.
I searched for plum raisins for my breakfast oatmeal, discovered at Sprouts, dry goods #6641.
Also, while shopping, I found,
food to go deliciously fresh,
great price, awesome for a quick lunch, with many returns.
