“My husband and I and our three horses are very happy at Southwind Farm. The people (both boarders and staff) are friendly and the atmosphere is relaxed. All disciplines truly are welcome, and nobody looks down on anyone else due to their riding style. Some people show, but many do not. There is plenty of room to ride with a large indoor and two outdoor rings as well as trails. Boarders have different schedules and ride at different times, which means that rings are rarely ever crowded, even in winter. The horses are turned out in small groups of about 5-6 in large fields. Everyone is welcome to bring their own trainer, farrier, vet, etc. Experienced farm owner and barn manager are well able to handle any veterinary emergencies that may occur, including transporting a horse to the hospital if necessary. I enjoy seeing my horses so happy and content with their routine of good care. Best of all, this farm is absolutely beautiful and peaceful. I feel like it restores my soul to be there spending time with my horses and friends. I think of Southwind Farm as my home away from home.”
