Shannon was an absolute godsend for our family! My wife, Marquia was looking for a Doula for our first baby and Shannon came highly recommended. Best decision we made! Shannon is very knowledgable, honest, straightforward, caring, and attentive. Our pregnancy started out as a normal vaginal birth and ended up being a c-section. Very long 72 hour labor, but Shannon was by our side every step of the way, not only being our seasoned professional, but giving my wife the courage, knowledge, and support to advocate for herself. After the successful birth of our daughter, Kennedi, she has become family! She has the respect from several hospitals in the DMV area, so if you're looking for a Doula, Shannon is the only decision you need to make! We love you, Shannon! Thanks again.

Shannon was an incredible resource for me during my pregnancy. Every meeting left me more well informed and confident in my decision to work with her. During labor she was calm and confident, which ultimately made me confident in my ability to have a natural birth. I don't believe it would have been possible for me to have a natural birth without the knowledge and care that Shannon provided me. Also she is just an awesome person as a whole, and she truly loves what she does.

I was fortunate to have Shannon as my doula to support me (and my husband) throughout my pregnancy and delivery. I’m confident that having Shannon as my doula contributed to my positive birth outcome. My pregnancy was labeled “high risk,” however, Shannon instilled in me that I was still in charge of the birthing experience I wanted. Additionally, she taught me how to advocate for myself in a medical setting. Shannon was always available to answer questions, provide encouragement, or reassurance when needed. As I reflect on my experience, I truly understand how the work Shannon is doing is essential.

It was such a pleasure to work with Shannon! I knew I wanted a Doula for my first pregnancy and Shannon met all my expectations and more. I decided last minute to have a homebirth and Shannon was fully supportive and knew what to do. Her knowledge of resources in the area made it possible for me to have a home birth and connect with a midwife. She educated us in the process and taught us valuable techniques that came in handy during the labor. The day of the labor, Shannon guided me in various positions that ultimately led to a quick and safe birth- I couldn’t have done it without her!

Shannon is AMAZING to say the least! From the educational resources she provides to her bed side manner and labor progression techniques, I cannot thank her enough! She encouraged me to advocate for myself and provided research whenever I was unsure. She referenced my birth plan during labor to make sure every one in the room was aware & helped me make informed decisions when needed. As a first time mom, I thoroughly enjoyed my labor and delivery experience with Shannon (roughly 10 hours in labor & 38 minutes of pushing) 😊

She has such a positive vibe & truly a joy to work. My family and I are so thankful for Shannon!
