QOVH is a place where veterinarians truly care and are willing to lend a helping hand in a medical emergency. Our family has a loving cat who has had no health issues, until one day he stopped eating. We immediately took him to emergency, where the vet offered a temporary solution and two days of hospitalization for 7k+, then offered to euthanize him if we cannot afford it. We opted to take our chances and seek help from a clinic. Unfortunately the condition was critical and this happened over the weekend. After calling a handful of places, no one had availability or was willing to squeeze us in. QOVH was the only place to respond with empathy and understanding of the situation we were in. Owner personally extended his schedule to squeeze in our pet. This is not because they weren’t popular. Far from it, QOVH is run by a family of vets and a very busy place with 4-5 vets on duty. They fit us in because they truly understood that we loved our pet and that we just needed some help at the time. After few days of treatment and a surgery, our pet was back to his happy self again. What comforted us was that during the inpatient procedure and outpatient care process, QOVH nurses and vets followed up with us morning and night to make sure our pet was doing ok. We are so indebted to them and will always recommend QOVH to those who want a vet who truly cares!

I cannot say enough great things about Quince Orchard, the Giebel Family, and all the staff. We have long searched for a vet that felt like family and found it. I share the following story to show how incredible and caring this practice is.

In December 2021, we had an very scary-life threatening incident with our Yorkie. She had a piece of bone stuck in her throat. After taking her to an emergency vet, they had to push the bone into her stomach and told us to just take her home and hope the bone broke down and didn’t tear her intestines if it didn’t. Pushing the bone down her throat caused damage we were unaware of. We were distraught and terrified.

A family friend, who had been with Quince for years, immediately texted with Dr. Megan Giebel on our behalf. Dr. Giebel consulted with her father, Doc Giebel, who then told us to bring our Yorkie to him. We were not current patients and the practice was so full they were not accepting new patients.

For 3 days, Doc Giebel made the time in his busy schedule to help our Yorkie and keep an eye on her. He made sure that bone passed with no incident and addressed the damage down to her throat by the surgery. There is no doubt that he cared about the outcome and he cared about us as the pet parents to let us know what was happening.

We’ve had a couple other incidents since then and each time, Doc tells us to bring her in and takes great care of her. Our older Havachon now sees Doc as well and he’s been wonderful at managing his arthritis.

We are so grateful to have this veterinary family who cares for our fur babies as much as we do.

We have been going to Quince Orchard since 2005 with generations of guinea pigs, and they are excellent. Dr. Felrice is very knowledgeable about exotic animals and even in the rare cases where he doesn’t know something, he is very honest and then does the research to figure it out. Although I moved out of the state, when my guinea pig Lola had been suffering from painful urination for weeks despite many trips to another vet, x-rays, and pain medicine (no stones!), I decided to drive all the way back home to take her to Quince Orchard. Dr. Felrice was able to tell what was wrong with her right away and was able to flush out her urethra, hospitalize her overnight, order medicine to prevent sludge forming in her bladder, and send me education materials about calcium consumption and absorption in her diet— all for a very generous cost compared to what I had paid in NY. Now, Lola is better than ever, popcorning and running laps around her cage like a whole new guinea pig :) Dr. Felrice has performed numerous successful surgeries for our guinea pigs in the past, and is always able to provide other plans of action if we are not comfortable with the first option. I can recall another time a few years ago where Dr. Larry Giebel took home our sick guinea pig Cookie to personally watch and care for her overnight. She was old and did not make it through the night, and he was so kind in calling to update us first thing in the morning as well as writing us a handwritten letter with his condolences. The vets, techs, and front desk at Quince Orchard are extremely caring, knowledgeable, and helpful in taking care of our guinea pigs. We have never left without feeling impressed about the quality of care they provide, and recommend them to everyone we know with pets. Added a photo of Lola the other day after I picked her up, happier and more lively than she had been in weeks!

I had the pleasure of bringing my goldendoodle Harry to this practice yesterday. They took me in and I felt like family immediately. They treat you and your pet with warmth and care and I felt like I was in very, very secure and loving hands with the owner of the practice. He gave me time, excellent and real direction in treating my dog Harry. I felt that they have a genuine love and care for all the pets and parents of the pets they work with. Just a wonderful and warm environment‼️👍👍👍

Thank you Dr. Felrice for taking good care of my bunnies especially during their spay and neuter procedures. I am very grateful for the quality of care I received. Dr. Felrice always returned my calls whenever I had any concerns which shows how compassionate he is. Cosmo and Cocoa are very happy. Look no further for your vet needs in the area.
