Stancill's Guitar Studio began in 1994 when opportunity knocked on the door of a single-room retail space near Scott Stancill's home in the Town of Kensington, Maryland. In 2008, opportunity knocked again and Scott expanded the studio into its present location at 10535 Metropolitan Avenue.

Thanks to Stancill's Guitars Studio I enjoy the instrument and my performance. As I watch the other students at Stancill's Guitar Studio come and go, it has become pretty obvious that I am not typical of the group. And though finding Stancill's was purely accidental, it was a very fortunate accident.
