“I went here to sell back some classic games and hardware (N64, accessories, Wii and games). Even though the sales person should have been going on break soon, she patiently worked through all my things, tested the Wii (and even determined that it would be worth more as parts than as a whole) and give me the opportunity to get paid in cash or store credit. She was very knowledgeable about my archaic equipment and games and even gave me some recent game developer information. What I thought was going to be a pain of an experience ended up being surprising pleasant. The store was well kept with games in their proper location and items stocked. If I ever wanted to get back into console gaming, I’d return to this store to get quality information.”

“I came to Doris Mattingly as adult learner seeking to recapture a lifelong desire to play the piano. I am delighted she was willing to take me on as a student. I have probably forgotten most of what I learned as a child and have some new bad habits to overcome. But Doris is patient, encouraging, and has a teaching style that makes one want to do well. She selects music that is fun and interesting for me to play. Even the skills-building exercises are deceptively challenging and not at all elementary. I am learning to appreciate music as lyrical-telling a story, stirring imagination, and communicating beauty and emotion. But, sometimes I am secretly happy that I have just played the notes! The environment in Doris’ home is warm, bright, and inviting and I am welcomed at the door by her sweet golden retriever, Yum Yum, who knows I will bring her a treat. I am living my dream and am so happy to be sharing that with Doris. When she plays a piece for or with me it is clear that she is a master of all she teaches.”
