“Been here twice, once with a friend and once with my Mom, and luckily had good weather both times. Lots of history overlapping this region of the country so you could easily spend all day just wandering about and learning. Park service are friendly but there is a lot of walking and some of the trails can be steep, so watch out for the elderly in the group. Kids will love it and lots of parking. And you may need the car for visiting some of the structures - as the Fort was used during many of America's wars the gun positions are kind of spread out!”
