It's always difficult dropping off your firstborn at daycare because you are returning to work. COA in Bowie made the process seamless and my daughter's infant teachers provided excellent care. She was only there for half a year, but I could see tremendous growth in that time. Children are engaged in doing activities and arts, listening to music, and being read to. Definitely a positive environment!
I am more than pleased with the experience, support, staff, and professionalism with Children of America. Mrs. Crystal Bruce greets the parents and children with a smile and great energy everyday. I love it. My daughter has had so much fun at COA, despite Covid. Although my daughter is enrolled in school for the fall, we enjoyed COA so much that I continued her stay. Thank you COA for EVERYTHING!!!! You all are wonderful!!
For (potential) new comers, you have to see it for yourself. You will not be disappointed!!
The teachers have been great with my daughter since she started. The environment is very welcoming to all families, which is great to see. The teachers and admin go above and beyond to make sure every family is comfortable from the day they enroll. Would definitely recommend to everyone in the area! 😊
We love Children of America Bowie! The whole staff is incredibly welcoming and friendly. We have two small children in attendance and could not be happier with the way they've been treated while at Children of America. It's evident that our children's teachers care deeply about thier development and happiness. I've witness the professionalism of the staff everyday and feel confident that my children are being treated with respect and care whenever they are there. The administrators are true professionals and work hard to answer questions and make each family's experience a good one. I feel so lucky to have found this organization! Could not be happier or recommend them more highly.
Edit to speak to some of the concerns from other reviews: My daughter is in one of the infant classes and has been for the past 3 months. I can attest that she and all the other infants are well taken care of. They are held as often as humanly possible. They are stimulated with toys and books and mirrors. They do tummy time often and as a rest she is well on her way to crawling and rolls over both ways with ease. The teachers treat my baby with kindness and respect and they seem to enjoy the time they spend with her. My kiddo is developing on schedule or slightly ahead and come home happy and healthy and safe everyday. It's a tough job to take care of multiple infants at a time but I've seen nothing but rockstar skill and stellar attitudes. We also have a toddler and he is a handful! He's treated kindly as well and has developed close relationships with his classmates and teachers. He adores his teachers, he even talks about them when we're not at school and he often tells us (loudly) that he wants them back. So cute! It's truly the best indicator that he's being treated well.
My two sons attend this day care, and they are both a bit high maintenance and require lots of attention. All of the staff here are very good to them and addressing their needs. Everyone I encounter is very caring and seems to truly love their job! I couldn't ask for better people to watch over my boys!
The facility itself is awesome! There are a ton of rooms and a ton of open space. We toured many facilities in the area before making our decision, and most of the other ones have smaller spaces with less room to let the children run around. At COA, there is never a shortage of play space, even in the middle of winter.
The boys really enjoy it here, too. They spent their first couple years staying with a family member, and the initial transition was a little hard on them, but now they really enjoy telling me about their friends and all the fun things they do. They are also learning so much, and I am often surprised by what they have learned, and feel confident that they will be more than ready to start kindergarten after their time at COA.
