BIG BATS CAFE

First time at Big Bats, and we were immediately greeted and felt very welcome to be there.

The weather was perfect so we sat outside and were immediately greeted by our waitress.

We ordered the pretzel with honey mustard to start. I ordered the Buffalo chicken sandwich with fries and my wife had the sliders. Everything was fantastic! I love the homemade Buffalo sauce.

A special shout out to Madeline for the excellent service with a great attitude. We will be back for sure.

We came down to the bay for a day trip and needed to pick up lunch somewhere that was dog friendly. We ended up just getting our food to go because of how hot it was outside, but I did read they allow dogs on their patio! Our food was amazing! I had a bacon cheeseburger and my husband got the hot dog with chili. My burger (on the outside), bun and bacon all had a nice crisp to them. It offset the chewiness of the burger and bread and bacon perfectly. And loved the fries. Perfect amount of seasoning. My husband said he enjoyed the crispness of his bun on his hot dog as well and thoroughly enjoyed his hot dog with chili. If and when we come back to this area, we will definitely be stopping back here for food!

The service was friendly and the food was excellent. I personally got the gyro and I was blown away by the housemade sauce. Definitely a must try. Got the try the places crab cakes thanks to my wife getting them and they were top notch as expected. Check this place out if you visit. It's a must.

So driving by it, you'd think it's just another sports bar. Though this was some of the best casual-style food I've had in awhile. Their chicken was breaded just perfectly and fried so it was light and crispy. The sweet-potatoes were amazing. My wife said her sandwich was great but would have been perfect with tomato and lettuce. Going to be adding it to our short list of must-haves on the island.
