“A treasure find in historic Princess Anne! They bake their own bread every morning with gluten-, sugar-, corn- and carb-free options. Their menu looks like that of a 4-Michelin star restaurant and their service is warm, kind, considerate. The only downside is that the decor is confused; it looks like a former pizza shop that is slowly transitioning to become a nice restaurant. The ambiance is a mash up of nice tablecloths on old tables, country music, wood trim, and a Pepsi sign. It seems all the money is going to fantastic food and service -- alright, I'm okay with that. ;P I'm looking forward to their high-tea service they're apparently starting, soon. I can see why the locals seem to LOVE it here.”

“Growing up in The area of Deal Island Villages each village (Wenona, Deal Island, Chance, Dames Quarter, Maryland ) each had individual Post Offices/Postmasters. WE WERE TOLD in an effort to reduce costs four Post Offices were combined to one and instead of four Postmasters we have one with reduced daily hours. We have had good Postmasters in the past however none compare to our Post Master Joe!. He is proficient, knowledgeable and always courteous. Joe goes beyond his required duties to provide outstanding services. We are blessed in the villages of Deal Island, Maryland. I salute Postmaster Joe, praises and kudos to him!!”

“You must go here. In our party, we had crab cakes, soft crab sandwiches and single fried oysters, plus an appetizer called Devils Island Fries, which is very unique. Everything was delicious. I saw the potatoes for the french fries being cut just before they went into the fryer (with peanut oil), the soft crabs probably came from the shedding houses across the street (you can buy fresh ones to take home in the attached general store) and the cook was very proud of her fried oysters with good reason, they were amazing. If you look at the other most recent review, someone else in our party was impressed as well. If you like good old fashion Eastern Shore cooking, are willing to drive a bit and are not in a huge hurry, treat yourself to this.”

“We had a great long weekend at Villa Wenona! The villa accommodated six adults and a one year old very nicely. The open layout of the kitchen, dinning area and sunroom are the heart of Villa Wenona! It allows everyone (including the cooks) to be part of the action. The rooftop deck is also a very nice touch that combines the cool breeze, the birds singing and a beautiful view. It's the perfect way to wind down, watching the sunset after a busy day! We spent an afternoon on the beach near the "big" bridge that brings you onto the island. It's a nice beach with a sandy bottom, not muddy like most bay beach area's. I highly recommend a stay at Villa Wenona!”
