Wonderful ppl
First the first time in my sons life, we have finally found a real psychiatrist. Dr. Pezor is amazing, it's like having a "great" doctor from the Western shore right here on the Eastern Shore. After multiple failed attempts at two other practices in 6 years we finally got some answers. Genetic testing to see how you metabolize medications, my son has been on medications that he cannot metabolize properly his whole life. No other practice even mentioned this was a possibility when I kept asking if there were any other tests or breakthroughs regarding ADHD and Autism. His therapist Maria is also excellent and full of useful information on your rights as a patient with a disability and what organizations can help you when the school systems fail to do their job regarding IEP's. She not only understands the psychology portion of her job, but keeps herself educated on different courses of action outside of being a therapist. I waited until we had established two doctors appointments and 3 therapy sessions before submitting my opinion. So for other parents and children who feel lost and like no one is listening or trying to help, there is a place who employs the right kind of people in the mental health industry. I can only speak regarding the two professionals we have interacted with. The is "HOPE" and you don't have to accept that nothing is working or this is the way you are.
The only issue I have had is the front desk staff, nothing major. They probably could work on their people skills, friendliness and patience a little more. With any business, front desk staff, cashiers, etc are the first interaction and you want people to feel welcome and at ease. Especially when you have never been there and don't understand how their facility works. I'm not big on a one sentence answer, you need to explain the reasoning behind it so I can understand your perspective. If not it can come across as a bit rude or abrasive.
But overall very happy and grateful to be getting some answers and alternatives to treating our son.
Excellent staff and service! The doctors are awesome
