(July 4, 2019, 4:47 pm)Easy parking. Many ways in. Access to Potomac. Miles of trails. Follows old canal system. Boat ramp. Picnic tables & rest room. Part of the serious biking travel trails. Has stop for bike repairs , snacks, showers, kayak rentals. Restaurants & save a lot food store handy. Great place for dogs. Not crowded. Safe so far for women alone.
(June 30, 2019, 3:23 pm)Beautiful area to visit and hike or bicycle. This is part of the Chesapeake and Ohio canal. 185 miles long.
(March 11, 2019, 3:30 pm)Nice little park to stop at, watch the river for a while, and walk along the canal towpath or on the rail-trail. Makes for an easy and pleasant break when driving along I-70 & I-68. Bathroom facilities are on-site, but they only open seasonally.
