“It is pretty simple accommodations, but clean, ac worked great. View of beach, maid staff very friendly although speaking little English. Two young men at front desk so very helpful and cheerful. Made our stay much better. Arrived 2:30 a.m. and they waited for us and told us where to park for the night. On Monday leaving wanted to stay on beach some and not find a new parking spot, so asked to stay at hotel if there were extra openings, they said no problem. Made a huge difference for us and there was a changing room with shower to clean up for ride home. Would stay again for price, had view of beach only 1/2 block away. Very clean”

“Older hotel without some modern amenities (elevator). Dated but our room was clean and comfortable. Front desk staff was friendly and maintenance carried huge cooler up to the 3rd floor for family in room next to ours. There is a small pool. The railing on the steps was sticky. However the price was reasonable and the hotel is steps from the beach and less than a block from the end of the boardwalk and the trolley station. Surrounded by ample dining and entertainment options. Definitely not a fancy place but would return.”

“The reason we went in was to pick up a Sunshine House shirt. Remember that place? Major blast from the past. We searched online to see if the old surf house from the 80s was still around and got directed to Chauncey’s. This place is the real deal. As authentic OC surf shop as it gets. Nice selection of clothing, local knowledgeable owner that runs the shop and plenty of surfboard and boogie boards to choose.”

“Good place to eat! Every year when my family and I come to OCMD, we go to PGN Crab House. Me and my daughter always get the 'all you can eat "whole" steam crabs.' This includes whole crabs, fried chicken, fried and corn on the cob. Lots of food. My mom always get the lb of snow crabs. Always pleased and quick service. And the one waitress that's been there for the last three October's we visited, is always nice and pleasant. She remembers us whenever we visit. I will say it's a little expensive, but the time of the year we visit is off season. So maybe it's cheaper during the summer months ????”

“My husband called our two night stay there a 'couples retreat'. You could watch the sunrise while lying in bed or from anyplace in the room. The balcony was a reasonable size and the bathroom was very clean and the sink was separate. Cleaning service was fine. They had styrofoam coffee cups and no tea bags. We would have preferred regular cups and a couple of teabags, I think we could have called the front desk and they would have provided both because they were very helpful. There was an afternoon tea from 3 to 4 with tea only and sweets. We will be back. Oh and the breakfast was included in our rate and very good, the sausages and bacon were perfectly cooked and there was absolutely minimal fat. There was also fresh fruit and yogurt and oatmeal and juice and beverage. and the staff was very helpful. The location was at the end of the Boardwalk so that was perfect as well.”
