“This is the truck stop when you take a right off the ramp from Laredo. This truck stop has a lot of amenities including multiple showers, television, food (which includes a McDonald’s and Subway), as well as weigh scales and IDLEAIR systems in the back. The idleair systems are a god send when it comes to not having to idle your truck. You get Air conditioning, television, full power, and internet if you choose to pay extra. Keep in mind that this truck stop is quite busy so at peak hours it may be hard to get a pump. That being said, there are TWO scales here so that means you never have to wait to scale your truck. The truck stop is also quite large in terms of parking space for semi trucks. There is a huge lot at the back of this truck stop. One where a shop is located, and another when you include all of the idleair system parking spots. The idle air is standard price ($10 for the mount which you keep. $20 for 12 hours, and better deals for 24 hours. The hourly rate is $2.19). This truck stop has thus far not let me down HOWEVER, the reason it does not receive 5 stars is because a train passes through right next to the truck stop which is extremely loud. Also you can’t get in or out when the train is crossing. The train will cross forward, then once again backwards. Getting in and out during peak hours is quite difficult. There is a gentleman’s club across the street however it looks shady so it should be avoided. It should be known that there will be a lot of trucks that will be idling here due to the heat so be prepared for some noise. The workers are quite professional and friendly. There is a security guard inside as well for further safety. 4/5 stars. The idle air adds a star from 3, but the train takes away from this stop as well as the general messiness of this place.”

“April 2021 It's been a few years since I went to a Costco Gasoline, so I don't how widespread this feature is. But since the last time I went, they added a new pump handle/nozzle to the pumping stations. When you go to non-Costco gas stations, the pump handle just requires you to pull the lever to start the flow of gas. This new handle at Costco requires you to actually push the nozzle into the tank and then pull the lever to get gas. If you just pull the lever without pushing the nozzle in, no gas. And if you pull the nozzle out while the gas is still pumping, the gas stops. So if you're one of those people that tops up their gas tank just a little fuller than a full gas tank, it's not happening. This is a good safety feature in case of spark fires. The typical reaction to gas catching fire is for the person to pull the nozzle out of the tank, which exposes the fire and still flowing gas to the outside air and makes a bigger fire. The new feature makes sure that bigger fire doesn't happen by stopping the gas flow when the panicked person pulls the nozzle out of the tank. A warning if you're taking advantage of the long hoses and have your gas tank facing away from the pumping station. You may have to keep your hand on the handle while the gas is flowing to make sure the nozzle doesn't come out from the weight of the dragging hose. Otherwise you might not get a full tank of gas. Otherwise, it's still the same Costco gas: cheap prices for members only, easy in & out, long lines at rush hour, and Visa cards only. Oh, and they do not require you to wear masks, though the staff members do wear masks.”
