Alianca Restaurant

Wonderful. Parking is difficult but worth the aggravation. The servers were so warm and friendly. I had felt a little uneasy in the tight congested neighborhood but they out me at ease and made me feel so welcome. The shrimp Mozambique is life changing and far better than Antonio's nearby. Antonio's is also charming and good but for shrimp Mozambique I give Alianca the crown. I also had an Azorean steak that cut like butter and melted in the mouth. The pumpkin cheesecake was a great cap to my meal. If I was driving past New Bedford, I would make a special detour to go here again.

Great food with excellent service, the owner came to our table to check on us. The servers were attentive. Portions are large, and steaks are mouth-watering. You can't beat the prices. I will go back, and I highly recommend it to anyone who wants authentic Portuguese food. Oh, by the way, don't forget to order Portuguese soup. Thank me later :).

They were little short staffed the night we ate there but once they got going they were very attentive and quick with the suggestions, which I love. The atmosphere was that of a small ethnic neighborhood eatery and it just felt like everyone in there we're regulars and knew the people and it was a very cosy, comfy, wonderful atmosphere. We had Two bottles of a portuguese wine that the server had suggested that was absolutely out of this world. the food was both restaurant quality and yet something your grandma would make so the flavors bring you back to a simpler time. I would highly recommend!!!
