A woodworker's goldmine! A+++ selection of domestic and exotic hardwoods in a huge variety of different sizes. I have been traveling many hours away for a long time to hand select exotics for my instruments / various builds. I couldn't be happier that Reader's has opened essentially in my backyard. Really seems like it's run by good people too - huge plus. I can't wait to go back as soon as I can free up space on my wood racks for more stock!

I love how the big selection of wood is organized; every board in a bay labeled by species, thickness, $ per bf, every board marked with length. This makes browsing for a relative newbie like me simple and easy. I can compare look, feel, price just by walking around, so no surprises when it all gets rung up. Also some good deals on cutoffs and “discount rack”.

I also ask a lot of questions which are all patiently and even joyfully answered.

Good selection and good service from folks who enjoy the work… what’s not to like?
