One of the nicest, most picturesque beaches on the North Coast of Massachusetts...... At low tide you have to walk pretty far out to reach the water, and you can walk right out to Salt Island and hike across the island, (as long as you bring water shoes or protective foot gear to climb the rocks at the beginning of the path)..... Such clean waters with surfers riding the right side of the beach close to the natural 'Lazy River' by the bridge..... Great place for little kids to explore and not be intimidated by loud waves on the shoreline, as during low tide, they can walk out for awhile before reaching the quiet waters..... And coming from NY/NJ beaches and never experiencing the North Coast of MA, I was extremely impressed by their beaches and calm waters - completely flat walk-in to the Cove making it easy for young and old people alike to enjoy the mellow waves..... The water was so clean, I saw a whale at the edge of the cove early one morn as I looked out my picture window, from my Inn; just lumbering the length of the cove where the Massachusetts Bay meets the Cove and then back again later.... Truly incredible! Made my trip to see its spout spit out water! My very own Whale Watch right outside my window.... Must be very clean water!!!!
One of the most beautiful and picturesque beaches I’ve been to.
Its one of the best public beach in the north shore. Nice and long beach with plenty of space to play beach sports. Its picturesque with many good looking houses on the cliff . It needs a restroom though.
Nice and family friendly beach
