  The best and most easily accessed beach on Cape Ann. A great place for the whole family. A good beach for surfing and the kiddies can play in the marsh river. Fun for everyone. JUST BE SURE TO PICK UP YOUR TRASH! CARRY IN CARRY OUT- leave only memories.

  Hands down one of the most peaceful and wonderful beaches I’ve ever been too. It is lovely, clean, and beautiful. In all of New England, I’ve loved this beach and York Beach in Maine the most.

  2nd best beach I think there is around New England. Soft sand, no rocks, limited parking so it can't get too crowded. Low tide the waves are great for boogie or surf boarding which is a rare find in New England. I really don't understand why the cape and southern Massachusetts beaches get all the attention when far superior Beaches are an hour outside the city and has less congestion.

  I have been going to this beach for as long as I can remember it is beautiful and you will never be bored. You can walk out to the island right of the beach at different points throughout the day. If you just want to stay in the water you can swim, surf, boogie board, and go up stream and see all types of sea life. If you are hungry or forgot any toys like a boogie board or toys to build a sandcastle you can purchase them at the store right of the beach. My favorite thing is there Italian Ice, they have stands all along the beach and they are very good and not that expensive. I recommend this beach to anyone who is in Gloucester it is my favorite beach of all time.

  Beautiful beach, great for kids. A nice little river to tube down to ocean, you can walk far into surf without a steep drop off. Waves are small. A mix of rocks and sand so you can explore tide pools or do sand castles. Sand is very fine and soft. Plenty of parking although the lot is expensive. Other than that, the beach itself is lovely.
