Very quiet and pretty except when there's a polo game. Nice for walking and horseback riding. Also it's ok when Appleton trails are open to park your horse trailer here, and Appleton is just across the street. (Polo may scare horses that aren't used to it, though.)
Distinctly different view of the Ipswich River and its wildlife.
Hidden gem. Unique, high banked views of the Ipswich River. Flat trails with virtually no elevation change. Very wet in the spring and watch out for horse traffic.
It has a pleasingly diverse array of ecotones woven through an Essex County horse farm with an old polo field. There is a good web of trails. It's relatively small size make it a good spot for a toddler hike especially for children interested in horses.
The trail along the river is a favorite because of the kame terrace banks amid a conifer grove. Ideal times are spring migration and fall color.
