Very pleasant walking and biking trail, through woods with part along the harbor overlooking Salem. The main trail is pretty flat and shady.
Great for short hikes and dog walks.
Nice piece of wilderness, there is also a beach (not good for swimming) with hermit crabs. The Marblehead Rail Trail runs right through this forest, and it's great for taking your dog for a walk, walking or biking and watching people disobey leash laws that are never really enforced. You can park for free at the Gatchell Playground. The trail goes to the center of Marblehead east and to Salem University west.
Great place to go for walks, hiking or biking. The woods and the trail is very peaceful and there are beautiful views all around. Good place to bring dogs out for a walk because there are many open areas. The lake is beautiful during sunsets.
Always walk there.Beautiful scenery.43 acres of trails to hike or bike
