I’m Jennifer from Hudson, Ohio. Ten years ago, I started noticing my weight creeping up. I never struggled with my weight, and I had not made any changes to my diet or exercise. I was confused why I was suddenly starting to gain weight. I tried everything from diets to exercise to paid tracking apps. I generally eat very healthy so I would try restricting calories, but the weight still didn’t come off.
Fast forward to six months ago when after talking with a friend I realized that my weight issues (and a lot of other changes in my body) were most likely caused by menopause. So, I researched and realized that I needed to find someone that could guide me on what changes I need to make in my life in order to get back control of my body and weight. I came across Lisa’s website and reached out to her. After our first conversation, I knew she was the coach for me. Everything she said was in line with my research and I knew that she would hold me accountable; give me tough love when I needed it and call me out on excuses.
In 16 weeks, I lost 20 pounds and dropped 2 pant sizes. I shared what I was learning with my fiancé, and he decided to follow along with me and he lost 17 pound and had to buy smaller jeans. Lisa has provided us with the tools to continue our journey to a long, healthy and more active life together, which is priceless!
Lisa’s program has made such a difference in my life! First off her workouts are fun and I love that she uses science backed explanations for changing them up the way she does each month.
Also the way she structures goals, along with macro planning and strength training plans, has really worked for me. I love that she has us focus on one specific healthy lifestyle goal each month and then builds on them, so many are part of my daily routine this way. After working with her for over a year I’ve had much more long term success then with other programs where I tried to overhaul too many things at once. And the added bonus is that she motivating and energetic, she’s dedicated to problem solving and supporting her clients all along the way.
Thank you Lisa for your knowledge, care and constant motivation. The knowledge you gave me through this 16-week program has given me the ability to change my mental and physical health. I cannot recommend this program enough!

Despite a lifetime of healthy eating and exercise habits, I had come to a place where I didn’t recognize my body. A “spare tire” around my waist had crept up to the point where none of my clothes fit, and I was really frustrated. I tried various programs on my own but none of them yielded the results I was looking for. One day this summer I made the decision that I needed some coaching, and a Google search led me to Lisa’s Body and Soul program. The idea that this was a program for women over 50 was really appealing to me, and the initial Zoom call with Lisa quickly convinced me that this was exactly the support I needed to get back on track. I signed up on the spot and haven’t looked back!
16 weeks later I am 9 pounds lighter with 9 inches lost, and I am wearing a smaller jeans size than I did ten years ago. I have gained strength and muscle definition that I did not expect to see so quickly, and feel not only confident my skin again, but like a 62-year-old badass. I loved the various workout challenges, and found that the physical aspect of the program gave me a great mental boost, as I tracked my progress and discovered what I was capable of accomplishing. I am jogging, doing pushups, and lifting heavy weights – because it feels so good to do them, and transformation feels even better.
The diet component of the program completely changed my relationship with food within the first couple of weeks. By emphasizing protein with a healthy balance of carbs and fat, my diet satisfied me easily and I was able to consume far fewer calories than I had previously. I enjoyed the challenge of experimenting with various combinations of plant-based proteins to hit my daily macros, and I have a totally new understanding of what to focus on in order to fuel my body effectively.
I had wished for this for so many years, and Lisa’s program somehow unlocked a magic combination of diet, workouts and mindset that really worked for me. I am so grateful for Lisa’s support at every step of the journey, and would highly recommend Body and Soul Coaching to anyone who needs some guidance about finding themselves again.
