In late April of 2021 Lola, our Leavitt Bulldog (10 years old), under went QLF surgery to address cranial cruciate ligament (CCL) injury. After following the recovery protocol Lola has recovered completely. She has regained all of her strength and is just as active as she was prior to the CCL injury.
The surgery went well and her recovery was fine. The biggest challenge was minimizing her activity during recovery as it was obvious she was feeling better and more confident in her movement (a proof of the success of the surgery). During the recovery the office was in routine contact with us to check on Lola's progress and always there for any questions.
We very grateful for the professionalism shown and the fantastic outcome from the surgery. We strongly would recommend the Canine Cruciate Center of New England and Dr. Murtha to anyone with a dog in need of this procedure.
So thankful Maizy was able to have her surgery at NAHAH and the CCL center. After 2 weeks she is already feeling much more herself, she’s using her leg more than she was prior to the surgery, and we are actually having to hold her back because she feels so well.
Our 3 yr. old Yellow Lab, Millie, tore her ACL and, lucky enough, she was already a patient of the North Andover Haverhill Animal Hospital. Dr. Murtha is highly regarded and a surgeon specializing in these type of injuries and has proven that by us.
Upon the diagnose, we were given educational information that prepared us for what was to come. Since this was our first experience with an ACL injury, the information was reassuring.
Millie had her surgery a little over 2 weeks ago and is recovering quite nicely. The staff followed up with us just about daily and showed interest and caring for our pet.
The worse is now over and we are focused in Millie’s recovery. The post-surgery information/instructions we received are invaluable.
We are very pleased!

The staff at North Andover Haverhill Animal Hospital is compassionate, caring, knowledgeable, attentive and friendly. Our dog recently had a QLF procedure and it went fantastic. She has healed quite well and thanks to NAHAH's well outlined program her rehab has been really easy to keep up on. We've texted them (almostly endlessly it would seem) with questions regarding our dog's recovery and have been met with nothing but kindness. Anyone who is considering utilizing NAHAH's services I would highly recommend them. Wish I could give more than 5 stars 😊.
